シューティングレンジが大変なことに
HIRO THA JAPです。 年末セール中スタッフ多忙につき封鎖されているはずのシューティングレンジから、なにやらガサガサという物音が。それはせっせせっせと福袋をつくるスタッフ、セルゲイ・フルコフビッチ（通称フルコフ）の姿であった。
とんでもなくお得なブツがこれでもかと無造作にぶち込まれている様子に驚いたが、「宇宙級と思われているフォートレスの物量にもやはり限界というものがあるコフ！数には限りがあるコフ！」とのことだ。お求めの方はお早めに！！！！

Finally a true British Sterling L2A3!/ ついに真正の英軍スターリングL2A3が登場
フォートレス東京池袋店が誇る国際派の変態、元ニューヨーカーでDJ、HIRO THA JAPです！

Action Airsoft社によるMGCモデルガンの半端コピー、”カナダ製スターリングC1 SMG”は、世界中の英軍ミリタリアファンを欲求不満に陥らせた。しかし同時に、他社による真性英軍版AEGスターリング開発・発売への起爆剤ともなった。
Action Airsoft社がはじめて同社製スターリングAEGのビデオをリークした時から、俺のマインドは”電動スターリング”というトピックに釘付けとなった。IRON AIRSOFT社がまず最初に反応を示し、彼らによるCADデータの英軍スターリングL2A3電動ガンのビデオを発表、ARROW DYNAMIC社も発売を噂されている、しかし両者ともまだ発売に至っていない。
今回入荷したのは発売にこぎつけたBetaProject社製であるが、日本国内のみS&T社という転売業者のブランドとなっている。ややこしい。近年、今までにも増してどこのメーカーが何を作っているのか本当にわかりにくくなってきた。
とにかく、即自分用に購入したBetaProject製（S&T扱い）英軍スターリングL2A3 AEGを、個人的コレクションであるアサヒファイヤーアームズ製のスターリングと比較してみた。
初代アサヒ製（JACからも後に発売された）外部パワーソース式（BV式）スターリングは名実ともにエアガンとサバゲの歴史を語る上で”伝説的”な存在であり、エアコキ単発のみのサバゲー界に、はじめてフルオート連射の恐ろしさと楽しさをもたらした存在である。
The Action Airsoft`s release of the "Half-ass MGC-copy" "Canadian C1 SMG" obviously disappointed British militaria fans worldwide, however at the same time, it actually motivated several other airsoft manufacturers to develop/release the true-British Sterling L2A3 SMG.
Ever since the first video leak of the ActionAirsoft AEG, my mind as well has been locked on Sterling AEG. Iron Airsoft first reacted, publishing their CAD Data video of L2A3 AEG, however not yet released the actual product. BetaProject then released what seems to be their own version of it, as well as ArrowDynamic being rumored to release theirs.
Came in stock today is actually a BetaProject made, but S&T Japan-distributed example. it seems the local distributors all varies based on the regions worldwide. It`s becoming harder than ever to determine who`s making what, these days....smh
Anyways, I`ve purchased mine as soon as the shipping came in, decided to compare the BetaProject(S&T)Sterling L2A3 with my beloved personal collection, AsahiFirearms Sterling L2A3.
Asahi (and later models by JAC) Sterling SMG was indeed a revolutionary/legendary airsoft in terms of introducing the very first fully-automatic fire via its externally fed gas/pressured air aka "BV system". Prior to this Asahi Sterling SMG, OG airsofters (ofcause in Japan) were using springers.

電動ガンであるBetaProject製はそのモーターと分割式のVer.3タイプメカボックスを収める関係上、トリガーハウジングおよびグリップが太く、大きくされている。これは電動ガンとして再現するスターリングでは、いたしかたない部分であろう。
Asahi Firearms Sterling L2A3 & BetaProject (S&T) Sterling L2A3
BetaProject Sterling has much thicker and larger trigger housing as well as grip in order to house a modified Ver.3 gearbox&motor inside, which is rather un-avoidable factor for creating an AEG sterling.
BetaProject製 (S&T扱い)スターリングは正確に英軍L２A3の特徴を再現しているが、ボルトおよびボルトハンドルがクローム調に仕上げられている点はいただけない。実銃L2A3は黒染めで、有名な”ゴミ飛ばし”用の溝が全体に切られたボルトグループが装備されているはずだ。
スターリング好きな俺としては、どこかのアフターパーツメーカーがリアルな黒染め＆溝付きボルトをだしてくれればと思う。
BetaProject (S&T) Sterling replicates all the true features of British L2A3 EXCEPT the chromic color of its bolt&charging handle. The realsteel L2A3 comes with a blacken bolt group with infamous "dust blowing" notches cut all over. i as a Sterling freak, certainly wish a realistic L2A3 bolt(cover) option to be released from an after-market company.
スターリング以前の英軍制式SMGであったステンSMGでは、その恐ろしいほど簡略化された設計から、兵士がマガジンを握って撃つとフィーディングトラブルが起こりジャムりやすいという欠点が浮き彫りとなった。それゆえ戦後のスターリングでは、これでもかとマガジン、マグウェル周りを補強し、もはや戦車のようなつくりとなった。マガジン内のフォロワーに至っては二連装ローラーによる豪勢な仕様で、さらにスムースなフィーディングを目指している、というか明らかに”やりすぎ”。LoL
The British SMG predecessor STEN in WW2 european front experienced feeding/jamming issues when the shooter grabbed onto its magazine, therefore the Sterling`s magazine as well as magwell were reinforced extensively, Steels everywhere.... Even the follower inside is crafted with "dual rollers" to again ensure the smooth feeding.
