２００７年度の発売から、エイムポイント社のT-1マイクロダットサイトは、世界のコンパクトダットサイトのゲームをリードする存在であり続けた。
小型ダットサイトの最小限サイズのボディーはチューブ内よりも明るい外野の視界をつねに広くとっておきたいタクティカルシューターたちのニーズにベストマッチする。エイムポイント社のT1サイトは、他社の製品に真似のできないパテント済み世界最先端のレンズコーティング技術によって数あるマイクロダットサイト中トップレベルのレンズ透明度を実現している。（ダットサイトは小型であればあるほどドットを投影するためのレンズのハーフミラーコーティングが濃くなってしまうのが通例）
今年のエイムポイント社は、Tシリーズに待望の次世代モデル、T-2マイクロダットサイトを投入してきた。
T-1とT-2、両モデルとも入荷しているので、比較検証をしてみようと思う。最先端技術によりさらにクリアになったというT-2のレンズが特に気になる。
エイムポイント社スポークスマンによれば、レンズはもちろん調整ノブのターレットや電子部品をふくむ内部構造も大幅にリファインされ、その剛性もさらに強くなっている。T-2には、フリップアップするサクリフィシャルレンズ（プロテクターレンズ）も前後に標準装備されている。

Since the introduction in 2007, Aimpoint`s T-1 Micro dot sight has surely revolutionized the game of compact reflex sights worldwide. micro dot sights and its minimum body suit best for those shooters who rather demand the wide and clear surrounding view. Aimpoint T1 sights came in to offer those "baby" size tubes with otherwise unbearable level of lens-clarity in any existing competitors. Smaller dot sights often require the darker half-mirror coatings on their reflective lenses. Aimpoint with its world leading patented technology in lens coatings made the T1 the most desired among the seasoned shooters and true warriors alike.
Aimpoint has just released the long awaited new model on their T-series, Aimpoint Micro T-2.

We have both T-1 and T-2 in store. I`ve decided to compare those in details, especially so to examine the even-improved lens clarity on T-2.
Aimpoint spokesman states that T-2`s internals, including its adjustment turrets and electronic components, are fully revised in design to provide even better ruggedness. A pair of flip-up Sacrificial lenses/dust cover lenses come already mounted on T-2.
